What is your taste of rage ?

Updated on November 2, 2014

As a child the boy too weak a man to right
all those familial wrongs
before there was even a name for
domestic abuse he'd memorized the songs

He cried silently in shadows
never to heal nor sort the tinted scenes
the colors of abuse are still
the lenses from which he gleans

But the taste of bitters turned
slowly to a fits of seething rage
now mellowed slowly to aged blindness he
no longer sees that youthful age

But the tastes of rage are still a bitter
all across this land
And the abuse of a child is all around
from the hand of man

Turn your eye's from the task you perpetrate
he watches there in the shadow of light
as you scream in fits of anger
he watches from the night

One day a reckoning will arrive
as you sit peacefully pleased
and the wickedness within your soul
he will gladly release
