What kind of christian are you? (christian poetry)
What kind of christian are you?
A sinner saved by grace,
A savior who knows us by name,
A new life in Him, forgiven and no more in sin,
All these things we know but how much did we really grow?
Are we a saint in disguise?
Are we in the business of compromise?
Christ within but conforming to a world of sin?
Or are we a bit scared?
Seemingly retreating from warfare?
Can we be a cold landmark of grace?
Turning our backs from every suffering place?
May be we are the celebrities, full of pride and hypocrisy,
Let us not be the beasts!—beating down our very own family
Many more category, many more we shouldn’t be!
We are new creations in Christ,
Put on the new self! Wake up and repent!
Settle for nothing else,
For we are called not unto impurity but unto holiness! (1 Thes 4:7)
Soli Deo Gloria!
