When A Thought Gets Lost

Updated on November 17, 2010

Even With Modern Technology

I grasp for straws that I have dropped

I reach on over to a glass of spilled milk

I look ahead and know I had more thoughts celebrating inside of me

Where did they go?

Come out come out where ever you are ?

I want you to tell me what you hinted at earlier

For a quick second your thought came into being

It was just a fascade and the thoughts really weren't born

They were hatching as I tried to pick them up

The shell did break and the yolk started to seap

There will be no chicken where I wanted a little chirp chirp today

I thought it was time

But I was wrong and now the moment can not be undone

We have to embrace all the good that we have done

We have to look at the greatest times of them all

We must not be shaken by the events beyond our control

Who knows maybe all lossed thoughts will come back in our lives again

This time with new meaning and perfect timing

So now we can see that thought we missed

Was a blessing with a twist

Poetvix I think we need a thought catcher and then we would never loose another thought.Maybe something like a butterfly net with all our thoughts caught in it.That would be great. The only problem is it hasn't been invented yet.No problem.I think I need more like a vacume cleaner to catch my thoughts. Thanks for sharing.

Great write. I can so relate to the feeling of thoughts at loose ends and just flittering off. Drives me crazy. Great job!
