When An Old Friend Drops In

Updated on August 6, 2012

When my day has instantly turned for the better

Nothing more has to be said

A feeling of inspiration in it's infancy

Where it can rise or roam endlessly

The only thing holding us back

Is a difference of opinion or our point of view that clashes

If we see beyond the superficial

We can build an empire that King Kong would drop in and visit

The players have changed names and many games have been won and lost

But it is in the heart of each player where we penetrate

Looking for a silver lining that will lead us to gold if we play fair

Let the truth be told

We can agree to disagree

We can talk till one day turns into another

Oh brother

It is skype that has your interest

All I needed was a web cab and I am off to a good start

Did that now lets chat

Will I be able to stay strong or will I fizzle out ?

What happens if a better idea comes along ?

If we both run out of time and we have to put the whole project on hold

Worst of the worst if the story ends up in the scrap graveyard

Or lays behind a a curtain for that final curtain call

It could be years before we begin again

Now I know one thing was for certain

It felt right in my gut

A premonition that I had to follow

If I only had a partner I would call her Daisy Flowers Dragonfly

A name that is harder to spell than say

Who lands at a moments notice and then in an instant she is off again

She is unpredictable and unforgetable too

That is only one reason of one hundred

Why friends can stay friends for life or till the Red Sox win

First things first we are done with the crazy curse

People say we search for the pot of gold under the rainbow

We might have better luck with a metal detector and a shovel

What they don't know is the power of two people with the same goal and endless imagination

Two succeed and do whatever it takes

Before we are both put in a nursing home and waiting for lunch to be served

Pass me the remote...Please

I will give you some jello

Strawberry is your favorite

Now put the remote down slowly and walk away

If you are good I will tell you one more story

How on this hot 90 degree day

The Red Sox kicked butt and the Yankees had their heads held down low

But this is only one game of many wouldn't you know

      DREAM ON,

Lasting friendships, through thick and thin and thin and thick again...

Those are the most joyous and deep bonds that give friendships their foundation and backbone :-)

      Ciao...Princess Prisca

Princess Prisca I love when friends share the greatest things they love...An interest that brings two people together.A common bond that is like a umbrella in the rain. Each person can take turns holding the umbrella to make sure the other one stays dry.Thanx so much for reading and may all our friends encourage us when need it the most.Be there just to lean on or just to look for hope.Have a good day.
