When Blade Meets Gravel

By Tony DeLorger © 2014

Illicit thoughts and soul diseased,

in query lanced and indices ,

listings prone to fractious tides,

malicious intents and salubrious rides,

under gaze of heavens will,

human aches and love instilled,

in minds so wrong in life so right,

succubus in dead of night,

preying on the idle void,

the mindless drones of humanoid,

vacant views of ignorance known,

in a life of fluff all accident prone,

helpless weak of life mistreat,

the noble judgements of right, elite,

who lord themselves over gutter trite,

to embrace their wills of wealth and spite,

and all the time the passage thrown,

directions confused and far from home,

the mindless thoughts of human kind,

so convinced of place, ascendant mind,

while all the while they fester still,

the shallow hearts of hate and ill,

for all that is away from truth,

in difference meld into enemy root,

the cause of all our divergence and strife,

blood and murder abound and rife,

to quell the hearts of separate men,

who ignore the paradigms of race and trends,

instead procure a life without burden,

from ignorant wills of greed, uncertain,

and still the blade cuts through necrotic flesh,

the gravel under foot like mesh,

and when a heart just pleads for love,

the blades cut deeper, the incentive of,

the cruel and heartless souls diseased,

who rule the thoughts of man deceived,

and in us, every one a part,

the panacea of ills at start,

to rid this world of evil beings,

and in righteous acts make well this seeing,

for beneath the crust of human shells,

much more resides, and in duplicity dwells.

Love is all that this is not.

Life is indeed filled with diseased and violent evil, and the only remedy is love, the only saviour is love, the only hope is LOVE.

Wonderful poem. Yes the world is full of evil and greed and love is the onlt thing powerful enough to defeat them. Voted up Tony.
