When I Woke Up
Well I was in a deep slumber,
minutes passed but I couldn't grasp the number.
I sat on the bed and stared at that white wall,
untill my brain couldn't take no more fall.
I started to paint that wall in gold,
blue, red, yellow, all the colors so bold.
As time elapsed and my emotions came quick,
I walked to the Earth outside and grabbed myself a stick.
I walked far and wide, to a mountain top overhead,
found myself relapsed hasty by a riverbed.
I rolled over and cried to the Earth, and she cried too.
"Don't worry child, I am always with you.
For you comb my hair, and wander on the cusp of my soul,
I hold your head and teach you the things you don't yet know.
I channel you love when you are feeling down,
that is why you feel my presence the second you start to frown.
When you find yourself lost, unable to awaken,
just remember the road in which you have taken.
For you chose this path, and only you can take the stroll,
but when the path isn't clear, your heart will take it's toll.
Now rest your head upon my chest,
worry little child, worry a little less.
Go back to sleep, and get the rest you desire,
but always remember only when you are awake is when you are in my empire. "
