When I hurt I Look At Clowns

Updated on August 14, 2013

They Have Only One Purpose

To make you laugh

Do they make some children cry ?

Oh yes they do

They make them run and hide

But why ?

They are scarey looking

They are different

With there big heads and fuzzy hair

Who wouldn't want to get out of there

Big feet three times as large than any feet I have ever seen

Some don't talk

They laugh and smile way too much

Wearing clothes only clowns wear

Suspenders from grandpas time

Colors so bright and they do magic tricks too

When they come close they want a hug

Sometimes I even get to sit on their knee

Now I have noticed no clown has ever ate a little boy or girl

What I fear is not real

It is only my imagination getting the best of me

Now I see a clown and I smile

For clowns make my toughest times bearable

If they can survive after all these years

After millions of screaming kids

My life aint so bad

I can wipe away my tears

I can find a way to go on with my day

No matter what some people think

Clowns are good and they are here to stay

Michael-Milec Clowns come in all shapes and sizes and they try to do nice things for kids like make balloon figures or just giggle. I even wonder if a kid I knew in school who was the class clown made it to the big time. Who's laughing now. Thank you for commenting and enjoying life from a clowns view.

      Hi dream-on.

Beautiful poem, giving me first hand look at the " clowns " culture I've never knew or has chance to be part of it. You can tell me " Grow up " and I might never to.

      Have a nice day.

Kathryn Stratford I always liked them but I have seen little children cry because of clowns and Santa Claus. No matter what their parents said.kidscrafts I hope they are happier.I was disturbed when I seen a clown on the Simpsons and he was drunk and mean.I have had some car trouble and thought I would throw myself in my writing to keep my mind off of it.Thanx to you both for reading and the wonderful comments.

My question is... are they sad when they remove all that make up and those fuzzy hair? Are they still the life of the party? Are they as extroverted as they seem to be?

What a busy day you had writing all those poems! You are on a roll! I must say that I am myself quite busy with art camps around the city and also making two videos per week! All those things take a lot of time!

I had a friend (when I was a kid) that was deathly afraid of clowns. When I think of scary ones, I think of the movie "It". Fortunately, I didn't see that until I was in my 20s, so I have never really feared clowns. They are just very silly and exaggerated-looking.

Thanks for sharing this with us, and have a wonderful day!
