When The Angels Fell

Updated on May 28, 2012
 Fallen Angel
Fallen Angel

They say the Earth.. it shook,

When the Angels fell..

Because I thought I had you...

completly under my spell.

My mind was stunned..

as the clouds grew dark

As my tears ran deep..

I searched for an Ark.

Where is my refuge,

now... there's nowhere to hide

I had always wanted you...

I signed up for this ride

Now the ride is over...

somebody press the brakes

Need to find the off ramp..

before my heart breaks

I have heard there are no accidents

that Destiny knows.. it's true path

In the pleasure of circumstance

we must all feel the wrath

Yes.. the heavens they opened

and the Angel's... they fell

I guess it would have been

just as well..

when I found out you

had broken from my spell.

it's so sad when the magical illusion has been broken and you can see the glaring truth...very deep and meaningful poem Michael...

dotti, yes, my moods change from time to time , maybe more than some . it just might be that feminine side of me. most men would not admit it but most men can not write poetry like me either.

      Love ya baby.

This is a different mood from most of your poems I've read...very dramatic and your choice of images is faultless. Aside from the sadness you express, it's a beautiful piece, as most of yours are. Awesome!

Impressive, deep expressive poem, tough one, really. I felt like my heart was squeezed from emotions. Great poem!

      Michael,

You caress each word and give it life to fly and soar to the skies, and then when I think you are done your tentacles of emotions wraps around my heart and mind, to wonder and sign as the poem is over too soon.

I voted up, awesome and beautiful---write that book, Michael.

      Your Hub Friend,

      Bobbi

This is a poignant poem but impressive one , love this line- My mind was stunned..

      as the clouds grew dark

      As my tears ran deep..

      I searched for an Ark.

It is so nice to see a man cried , i can see their sincerity and pureness..

Powerful words and pictures to go with the dramatic statement. Your play on words of the heavenly disruption is vividly displayed through words and art. Great job.
