When Tomorrow Never Comes

Updated on August 21, 2011

Tomorrow never comes when someone dies suddenly

Because you weren't there you feel you should have been

You did no wrong like someone else did

I punished you for this and I wish I had not

Can you forgive me

You know I believe you will

I look back and have such vivid memories

When I once sat on your knee

I think I see you everyday as you fly by me

You are free as a bird I always want to be

Good night god bless please think of me.

    Voted up and beautiful!

Your poem is beautiful and reflects your heavy heart. You are right, tomorrow never comes so during the present moment we must give a deep thought before every action. It sounds philosophical because we are humans and committing follies is natural. I believe if you realise and repent then you are forgiven so calm down. Hope something better.

Beautiful words and expressions. It is hard to let someone go but remembering what was good about them is what helps us to go on in life.

    Daisy,

I have at least 2 hubs started which I am trying to find the right words for. One for my Dad and the other about the loss of a child. I am unsure how to go about it. Maybe I will find the strength sometime soon.

Hey thanks for reading and commenting as well as just being there.

    Steve (poshcoffeeco),

Wow! Thanks, my friend, for sharing your innermost feelings with us.

You've been writing inspirational Hubs recently. I sense there's a story behind your words. If it isn't too personal, I would love to read an article about this.

Hi homesteadbound thanks for the kind comments. I may write an intro paragraph eventually. To be honest I never thought about it when I first wrote it. What would you put as a fitting tribute ?

This is a totally awesome poem. It says so much, and tying it in with what you wrote in comments on my hub, it is even better. Have you thought about writing an intro paragraph to this hub giving a little background on it? Voted awesome, beautiful and up. It's great that you are able to get in touch with your feelings so well, and that you are able to convey them to your readers.

Thanks Andreea. My word you are having a busy hub reading day today! I enjoyed writing this one because it was so personal to me and I have had trouble dealing with bereavement. It helps me to keep re reading it when people comment on it. Just think it will always be there me to keep the memory going. Awesome
