When You Find No Answer

Updated on September 3, 2015

Make One Up

We all struggle

Few people find a good team

The right balance of give and take

Those who do it alone

Have to weather every storm

Ride every wave

Waiting for the greatest break

Some say it's luck

I believe it's so much more

Following every lead

Using your freedom and energy

To new inspiration

Having fun and see what develops

When other people walk away

I stay listening to the waves

Seeing if I missed something

The smallest detail

A detective stumped at first

A working progress

It's time to let things happen

Keeping level headed

Looking for concrete ideas

Attempting one direction

Tapping into all my resources

To reach into the moment

To pull this off

Making it work

When no one else did

Brakel2 The truth is I keep throwing the towel in. The next day I find the same towel on the floor and forget why it is there . Think it must be dirty then wash it again. It is the most washed towel in the world. Maybe it can go in the Guiness Book Of Records. Wouldn't that be something.I am so happy you understand my thoughts behind my words. Many people don't get what I am hinting or suggesting and that's o.k. That is when I go back to my writing board ( I made that up) since artists have a drawing board why can't writers have a writing board. Then I write my next hub in a different angle upside down if I have to . To stretch, over exaggerate, say in different words , express and dance to get my point across. I might look silly because I can't dance. Many people say I can't write. So I constantly do what I can't do. Now that's funny. Thank you for all that you do. Reading takes time. I am not the fastest reader even though I have taken three speed reading courses. My problem is I start to read anything. I mean anything.. The traditional book, story, car ad, a cereal box then ideas start to pop in my head. Not about what I am reading no that makes to much sense. What I am thinking. Why is that label so small so we can't read it. Then I want to create a place called label . Com where we can see every label ever printed in big bold letters larger than life. So big as if it was a sign in Times Sqare in New York city. The back of a greeting card, someone's school work I found on the ground and my every thought after that is focused on that. Like it was the only thing that existed in life. UntilvI can't write no more or until my wife pulls me away. Work comes up or I go to sleep and forget what I just did or tried to do. Then I start the whole process over when I see a cob web on the ceiling. Don't get me wrong. I have fun doing what I do. I think I have to much fun. What bothers me is no matter how hard I try to convince other people how great it would be if we could do this.... they are not interested or could care less. My cat Charlotte even walks away. My wife is here to stay but she even tells me I don't have to believe in everything you say and do. Good for you. Not my cup of tea. I rather watch my cooking show than fight for a good cause or write a letter to a publisher because I found an error in their book. The proof readers missed. How lucky was I. I like to think skilled to see and be at the right place at the right moment in time. Putting one and one together to get three. Most people would say two. I carry one over from yesterday that everyone forgot about but me. Thank you for reading and sharing. If you read my whole comment from beginning to end I am curious to know. Drop me a line. Maybe we will catch the biggest fish ever. Even a crab would be nice. I think crabs are fascinating. All those creepy legs moving at once. Just maybe snagged on something under the water we can not see. Until now. I am reeling it in. A little closer. A little closer. What could it be.

Dream On - We must not give up, as you say, no matter how much we struggle. These words ring true for me, as days come when it is easy to throw in the towel. We must hold on to our support system and find reasons to never give up, no matter how hard the battle. Thanks for sharing this courageous poem.. Blessings, Audrey

Yes, dream-on, "it's so much more''... above all ' luck' and frustration, coming in that small inner voice and we know that we know the right answer.
