When You Look Upon A Star

Updated on July 22, 2011

I know that I do not convey

All the words I want to say

Concealing all I feel inside

Swallowing all my stubborn pride

Knowing that it’s really true

I’m on the edge of losing you

As if they’re etched with emery

Kept inside my memory

Every moment spent with you

And everything that we’ve been through

Your hand prints left upon my heart

Even if we’re miles apart

Know no matter where you are

When you look upon a star

I’m standing right there next to you

Sharing the same gorgeous view

Lovely bethany, love can stretch an awful long way. it doesn't matter how far apart you are.

Thank you Gregas! =] I agree, hand prints are far more appealing than foot prints. I'm blessed to have someone touch my life in such a way.

Hi Bethany, A very pretty poem and just for the record, it is always better to have hand prints on your heart rather than foot prints. Well done. Greg
