When you love me- A Poem

Updated on April 22, 2014

When I need no daily assurance
No feigned look of rapture
Nor your love proclaimed to all
Your silent looks will fully capture
To stand before you
Shoulder to shoulder
And to know the quiet content
Is love, ever growing stronger
To see an unsaid sympathy
When my health is ill
To know that you share my pain
Is the love that persists, still
When your coldness and sterness
Become often unbearable
With your heated words of anger
Your sincerity will make it tolerable
And when I share
In all your moods
Not just assumed
It is understood
That you will love me
Through the course of the year
And I will love you
Constantly, my dear
