When you need a good cry

Updated on October 31, 2011

When life seems empty
And you feel like you are all alone
Just picked up the phone
And called me,
Suppose I am not home.
Then dial my cellular phone.
My friend is hurting,
And I do not know what to say
Never say, how was your day?
I am afraid I might say the wrong word
Maybe, I should have listen
Without being judgmental
Sometimes, I just dread those calls
My friend is hurting,
I do not want him to fall
Here I am bitching
I hate those phone calls
Especially early in the morning
Or late at night
Where my brain is not so actives,
And it only ends with a fight.
I wish I could help you.
No matter how I wanted too
I was never there in the beginning
I just want to be a good friend
Life comes with so many changes,
So, kiss him goodbye and let him ride into the sunset
And see where the Northern winds take him
They shall still bear fruit in old age,
They shall be fresh and flourishing
Mercy and truth belong to those who devise good.
Our children have turned gloomy days into delightful ones.
The lord is near to those who have a broken heart
Behold, children are heritage from the lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
So count our blessing.
That our children turned out right
Watch, stand fast in faith, be brave, and be strong.
Your love to me was wonderful
So I will clothe myself with humility and embrace you.

.... a really great evocative title with profound words to follow - and once again you walk that poetic tightrope, if you will, between a cerebral context and just pure emotion which makes it an absolutely brilliant and emphatic read pulling your reader closer into your extraordinary world ...... lake erie time ontario canada 11:22am

Very nice poem. Especially in the end, "So I will clothe myself with humility and embrace you." That's just so classy.
