Poem:When he calls!

Updated on March 9, 2012

When he Calls!

As I stood there

watching my old

friend laying in

that cold, damp .

Mortuary, in the

downstairs of the

I see the workers

prepping his

while they kept

staring in the

area where his

body laid ontop of

one of the

refridgerator trays

there his nacked

lifeless body laid

on his back.

I recognized those

shiny metal trays.

Stainless steel I

believe it's called

Just as I saw them

in the movies,

only n here they are

a little less scary .

Cold and stiff, he lay

as his lifeless body

gives off a misty vapor.

Same as chicken

taken out the freezer.

They had only took

him out of the old

Refrigerator just a

few minutes ago

they were keeping

tab on how it's melting.

It stood neatly

in that little corner,

almost like it came

built in to the building.

Knowing him for

so long, he would

always be saying to me

it’s cold in here man.

In my mind I said:

he was probably freezing

while laying there.

even the trays look cold.

But patiently he waited

without any choice

to be placed into his

shiny Casket.

The last step that is

taken before burial.

I said to him silently

you’re gone daddy

you’re gone!

He was 72 years old.

I watched his family

sitting in the chapel

mourning their loss

with watery eyes

remembering the

good man he was.

They were all crying

without any sound

saying we miss you

already, now that

you are Gone!

Believing what go,

Is gone, but if not

forgotten, for in their

hearts the greatest

memories will remain.

His grandson then

looked up to his

father and in this

sleepy tone he said:

Daddy is grandpa

ever coming back?

No one knew what

his father would say

but there remain

the only answer a

child would love to hear

one that's real easy

for him to understand.

He said to his Son!

Grandpa was tired

so he went to rest

something happened

and now I know that

He lives on in me!

So to you my boy

I hope that one day

I am going to have

the honor of being

able to live on in you

My Son!

When it is my time

to rest!

God has called him

Home Son. God has

called him home,

putting an end to all

His misery and pain.

Everything that ever

happens in this life,

must be for a reason.

The fear of death

subdues its beauty

that life presents

forever looming over

the head of mankind

all the day's of his life.

Being that always clear

and present danger!

Be wary of your words

as they slip across

and passes your lips,.

you must always think

wisely in all you say

For death is not end

It’s only the end of

another beginning,

a s you leave this life .

You can't plant corn,

looking to reap a Mango.

What you have planted

are the only things you

must expect to grow !

Being warned it says

If you live in a glass

house don't throw stones!

Save yourself acting

foolish when you are

alone and boulders

rains down on your home..

Your sick bed’s not

a place where salvation,

should be bargained,

or attempt to be bought!

The only time is now!

The place is here!.

Your ways in life!

this moment would at

this moment is the one

take you there.

God is not that simple.

God won’t be his name.

Later is not for

Win or loose can only

tell you how well you

have played your

game, in this life!

A murderer gets shot.

The proceedings same.

He killed for fun

others took the blame.

Many are now crying?

Because humans

always would cry

in shame.

Always prepare yourself

for that place where

are going.

Doesn't dress for

Now you are crying

big tears

you are freezing,

Its winter and now

it's snowing!

When he Calls!

Thanks Rose. I will always see his face , because of the relation that we had . It's amazing what happens in memory of people especially the ones that were close . My dad started it all by preparing me for life and he never left out death.

Thanks as always, and appreciate your words everytime.

Have a beautiful Sunday. God bless.

Voted up and beautiful! That was no longer grandpa there it was what was left of him. He was with them in spirit and I truly believe watching everything that was going on. Afterwards he'll watch from above. For the spirit it's easy to fly away and fell free. God bless.

Thanks Cardisa . I sat there and ask myself why don't I put him on the stage I am on since there is a chance . He would always say to me boy it's cold here got to get my jacket, he was ok in the hospital when I visited , they were going to bathe him , I watched his face and I knew it was the last. I think we can go anytime we feel , but we must leave that decision to the Most High!

Thanks for the observation Cardisa, I called him Goose!

      Bless up!

When God calls us how can we say no? That was a very touching story of your friend. I liked how you described the body in the morgue.

Thanks brethren Frank . Up and awesome to you, for being so real to this . But that's what seems to be going on with a type of resentment for Why? It's one thing not to know , and a whole other thing to pretend.

If you have no source or no spiritual parents ad you can ever call God names , why all the charade when time calls. That's the hypocritical nature and also the danger. Truth is the only answer.

Everyone knows their own all I am encouraging is to take a look. You will see it.

      Thanks brethren and bless.
