Where Art Thou, Spring?

Updated on March 3, 2011
Source

Where Art Thou, Spring?

Thou art Spring, elusive vixen...
why thee shy, to hide thy face?
all await thy gracious presence
in this winter smitten place.

Hasten, Spring, be not thee shrewish
withhold not thy beauty fair...
'Tis not nice to play the temptress,
to hide thy face inspires despair.

Come forth, Spring, seductive siren
hesitate no more to hide...
All creation yearns thy bearing
paused to celebrate thy pride.

Thou art Spring, a shy enchantress...
why thee tease, to hide thy grace?
all await thy precious entrance
in this winter smitten place.

Lets make it a great Spring to remember always! Be gone to our Winter for now. Your words couldn't have said it better just what I have been feeling inside, for quite some time now. Thanks!

We have had quite a Winter so far! Very good poem that deters me from looking out at the mountains of snow - and the ice that's slowly melting. Voted up!
