Where Did the Left Gone Wrong?

Introduction

The left or liberal idealogs in America have taken the wrong path. They are paying the price now after years of allowing bad behavior by politicians. It may have started with Kennedy but taken to a new level under Bill Clinton. In 2017, we are seeing the results.

- Nov. 2017

Background

The problem with the left is they have no principle. When the sexual allegations were made against Bill Clinton, they circle the wagon and defended him. The thinking then was it was a personal matter. It was only about sex. He was good for the economy. He was a big supporter of pro choice. The double standard were obvious. If a Republican was caught with the same type of charges, he was forced to resign in shame.

The media would pile on. They spotlight that the GOP claim to be the party of family values. That is why they are held to a higher standard. This kind of thinking is wrong. When one has principles, it should not matter which party is making the offending act. Consistency is key. When you treat these incidents differently, the person invloved will adapt their behavior accordingly. It also influences the people that came after. If it wasn't for Bill Clinton yesterday, will we have Anthony Weiner and Al Franken of today?

Different Worldviews...

It also depends on ones worldview. If your view is a secular one, you tend to minimize these infractions. You believe in no judgement of personal behavior. There is no right or wrong. The world is filled with grey areas. What is acceptible changes over time. It is called "progressive" when we champion the plight of the minority.

The problem is where do you draw the line?

On the other hand, a religious worldview tends to be more consistent. There are clear boundaries. A higher authority based on scriptures is rule of the day.

The Age of Reason

In 2017, suddenly, we are faced with the reality of these conducts. Actions have consequences. It is a little late. Bill Clinton was a power in the democratic party for the last 25 years. He was given a pass for his transgressions. His wife, Hillary, made a career for herself attaching herself to his coattail. First being a Senator and later Secretary of State under Barack Obama and then running for President. The Clintons started a foundation which expoited their political influence and was a source of foreign contributions. There abuses reached new heights with the selling of Uranium mine to a Russian company, while receiving millions in donation to the Clinton Foundation.

It took the election of President Trump to put the brake on this activity. Why now?

Now, many in the democratic party are voicing their opinion. They are having second thoughts about the Clintons. After a huge surprising defeat, there is time for reflection.

What went wring?

To a conservative like me, this was all so predictable. To think, we came so close to putting this corrupt women back in the Whilte House. With all the scandals and even impeachment, our country almost lost its way. The American voter ultimately got it right.

Summary

The left in America lost its way long ago. It took the election of Trump to wake these people up. In a way, it was a blessing in disguise. It is ironic that a persona like Trump, who would have been the darling of the left if he ran as a Democrat, finally exposed them for whom they really are. A corrupt and morally bankrupt group of people that led America astray.

We all knew there would be a return to the trickle down economic plan that has never worked. Yes the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

There has never been a more dangerous time with North Korea. It's almost 12 on the doomsday clock due to Donald.

Proof is emerging the elections were tampered with by the Russians.

The poorest members of society are losing health care.

A foul mouthed proven racist bully is currently the ersatz leader.

Nepotism is rife in the highest echelons which is a huge step to a monarchy in the USA.

The list of negatives is endless. The only "positive" is that the rich are getting richer. That's not a positive but an indictment.

I am with Mike. At some point, the lies will be exposed. The media have lost their credibility especially for the millenials.

They cannot be trusted with being the watchdog of our government and people in positions of power. Their bias comes through and people are not fooled any more.

Oztinato, I could not disagree with you more. Donald Trump is not extreme. He's done many good things. The economy is good and illegal immigration is way down. He's renegotiated key trade deals to benefit the United States. North Korea is now quiet. I could go on, but many of us in the United States believe he is doing a good job. Our media, is so extremely biased for the left, the truth requires effort and research. The same media that predicted Hillary would win in a landslide.

Jack, I have had to deal with many people on the left. My attitude on things have left them shocked and their attitude on things have left me speechless. My opinion is that people on the left think with their emotions and not their mind. I've told people I know on the left they seem to be unable to comprehend facts, truth and reality. If it makes them feel good, it becomes their reality. When things happen, they can't fix them, they just do things to make themselves feel good no matter how empty the results. The people I know on the left don't seem to have any sense of right or wrong only what makes them feel good about themselves. They actually become enraged when I disagree with them. There is no ability to have honest debate, but personal attacks, lies and their fantasy world. I told a person on the left they were so angry because at the base of their anger was the fear they were actually wrong. I told them avoidance of reality doesn't mean reality won't hurt you, it only means you'll be unable to see it, accept it and successfully deal with it.

Unfortunately when the left goes too far there is a psychotic right reaction. In Germany pre world war two there was a radical left movement that triggered Nazisms response. Likewise today we have Daesh and Donald as extreme right wing psychotic reactions to the radical left.

All forms of extremism be it left or right are undesirable but Dr Frankenfurter is surely better than Dr Goebels.

You are correct. I was also pointing out how their morality or lack there of, is what brought them here.

The left went wrong when they forgot to study history, and see what happens when socialism takes hold. The left went wrong when they put themselves first before the interests of the American people. The left went wrong when lying became acceptable, and bad behavior was covered up. Now the left is still in denial about losing the election. They are wasting America's time.

Yes Jack it's the lefty snowflakes versus the righty psychopaths. Do we want snow flakes running the world or psychopaths?
