There is never enough time in a day to tell people what we really want to say
When we see someone we really want to get to know
We do a quick hi in passing
A nod when we are in a hurry
A wave when they are at a distance
When we are on the cell phone
It use to be a friendly Hello
Now no time for that

As the hours pass

Why are we becoming more distant than I ever thought possible
I thought technology was suppose to bring us together
Give us more time to do things more quickly
Freeing up time for the family and friends we don't see
Especially a new girlfriend
Who would of thought it would be just chatting on Facebook
A place where all your friends go
You don't have to meet and could say you did
You can tell everyone your every move
You have more time to stay close
As you type away on the keyboard you can feel the love
Just like a hug in person
Just not so personal
Not that touchy feely thing

I can tell you my latest desires
I can share all my wants,dreams and wishes
But you won't catch me holding your hand
Giving you a big hug or a wonderful wet kiss
It is too late for that

We don't have to go out to lunch
I can grab a bite at home and tell you all about it
I am having left over spaghetti and meatballs

How about going to see a comedian for some laughs

No I have direct deposit and I made out my bills online
