Where are you going, God?

Updated on June 12, 2012

Why Lord,

have you left me

in disarray?

I suppose I should be greatful

I got home safe,

but just when things start

falling into place,

You send me more and more

challenges

And I just wonder, when will the steep mountain flatten out?

I'd like to slide down a waterslide for a change

I'd like to kiss and be kissed to laugh and be laughed with

Oh Lord,

why

do

you abandon me?

All I can do Is write

I don't have the energy or desire

to do anything else

Hi Rose, beautiful poem, sometimes we think God has abandon us but He is always there watching over us . Also overcoming challenges will not only help you grow in your faith but in life as well.

      dave,

      yes.

I will try to catch up on things today. Facebook is very annoying and mostly a waste of time. I want to spend more productive time here.

There are so many great hubs to read.

      Many thanks. :))

schoolgirl: A Beautiful poem dear sister. If all you can do is write, then obviiously God never left, because Holy Spirit is your inspiration for writing.

      myownlife,

      hi

a lot of people tell me how much I have accomplished and say I should be very proud of myself, and I say, yes, I am. But it gets confusing too since (some) say Oh it's the prayers I said for you, or it's God's work in you -well yah- or whatever. But I think we need to acknowledge that WE worked OUR butts off! [Another topic, sorry! Lol]

      Thank you:)

      Dear

      "Man from Mexico",

      THANK YOU!

You moved me beyond words and put such hope into my heart, bless you, I'm humbled.

      I must say,

I keep getting confused about my faith and I know it's satan's attacks. I keep wondering about being catholic/or bible christian.

but this is the least of my worries.

Just to stay true to God and keep him in my life, calling on him in difficult times, and allowing Him to work in me.

I cannot tell you how honored I would be -God to use me in such a special way.

I already know many things but I long to get closer to Him and I'm trying to. Any suggestions besides prayer and the bible? I'm sure there are more ways.

Anyways, I loved your hub it was beautiful.

      Mours,

You have no idea how nice that makes me feel! I don't like to complain, but Job does to God in the bible and we are encouraged to talk to God as we would anyone.

      Thank you for understanding.

      :)

Ah, excellent! When we give up on our own plans and efforts, God has the room He wants to come in and do what He wants.

      Stand by for blessing!

Praise God even in the storm. When a challenge comes my way (my word for trial is 'challenge'- I know I will overcome and that our Father always leaves a way to victory), I fully expect God will do something great for me.

... because that is the way it always goes!

Oh, I even have a hub about this! Here are the people who God used big- AFTER they went through trials:

Also, here is a message from the Holy Spirit on this:

      Be encouraged!
