Where is the Pain

Updated on April 9, 2011

in time all wounds are closed, and the pain will dissipate

the hands of clocks move slow, when dealing hands of fate

the empty soul that searches long but never finds the sun

may always get lost in truth or song and forever be on the run

and death it seems so far ahead of all I ever speak

will not prevail less I be dead, to endless tombs I keep

and pain it is no stranger till, I know it by it's name

at last this restless wind be still, and calm the stormy manes

this pain you see goes by the name, of love in young girl's eyes

and though I knew it once in time, I looked to like it's lies

and though I once walked hand in hand and drifted endlessly

in lover gaze, in heated sand, my lady along with me

and time stood still has life did to, and all the world a stage

but time will never play as a fool, and love will always turn to rage

my heart beat heavy my soul beat soft, my love had been taken away

I felt myself getting lost, this endless night and day

the pain you see was always there, always in the dark

it reached to me in my bitter despair and came with me when I walked

this pain I know was cast on me, the day she toiled the waters

of trust and hope, so it seems, and every day grew hotter

the discontent of my hate, grew like ivy embers

the innocence of all hell bent would never find surrender

and though I go without a care, I drift within my shadow

for pain and I, have been in before, and here we be tomorrow

see pain and I are strangers not, in fact we both share common bonds

when days grow steaming, shallow hot, it's pain I must rely on.

Thanks, I love dark poetry, yet my other writings are riddled with humor.

Awesome and somehow beautiful even though pain flows throughout...
