Where would I Be

Updated on May 28, 2012

My first memories are of being close to my brother and sister, the feeling of warmth, the knowing that i was not alone . It was such a wonderful feeling, especially when for the first time I heard them give out a sound, a tiny chirp, then i let one out, then my sister opened her tiny little beak and out it came. We started all chirping at the same time , natures harmony of life, we didn't realize that why we doing this but it really sounded good. Only later did we know that we were hungry, we wanted food, thats what hunger does to you, it makes you cry out. A cry of hunger isn't always for food, it sometimes is just a sound to tell others that I am here, I want to be heard.

As we were in full harmony, we were startled to see Mom . there she was, she was watching from above, very proud of her brood, her contribution to the endless cycle of life, her offspring that will continue her legacy with their own little family. Mom swooped down to the branch we were on and without a sound we knew what she had for us, one by one she nourished us all.

Where Would I Be Without My Mother.

What a warm and yet rousing little hub. Nicely written as the baby bird but applying to all of us and our love of our Mom. Nicely done as always.

That's very touching, good for you, you have a brother and a sister? Me, I do not have, I am the only son of my parents. Luckily, I now have a beautiful loving wife and 2 kids that gives me Joy always.

It's the basic instinct of mother nature to care, love and protect, be it in the animal kingdom or that of us human beings. Your words express this natural feelings in such a pure and simple way. Beautiful.
