Fine Music of the Wind

Updated on March 22, 2017

Just take a look around, now can't you hear the sound,

All of the people here just want their voices to be heard.

As a song sent to the sky, then let their song of hope to fly,

On angel's wings and one prayer, each and every word.

Refrain:

Like the music of the wind, each message that we send,

Becomes nothing but the music of the wind.

Nothing but the music of the wind.

The times are changing, all's rearranging, nothing is the same,

All the children in need, so many mouths to feed, all to blame.

Families do without and feel the need to shout, of this shame,

All leaders seek are votes, hundred dollar notes, times of fame.

Refrain:

Is the music of the wind, every message that we send,

Becomes nothing but the music of the wind,

Nothing but the music of the wind.

If people's needs are in doubt, there's got to be a better route,

What's this country all about, no safe way to turn, a place to go?

We've fought wars, in search of peace, seen our debt increase,

Given all, we could, for we know we should, our love just to grow.

Refrain:

Is the music of the wind, every message that we send,

Becomes nothing but the music of the wind,

Nothing but the music of the wind.

When we sing, we each may send, special music of the wind,

For there's always someone there to hear, that is our friend.

Our father, our mother, every sister and brother, us to defend,

Then we don't feel so alone, all our love has grown, in the end.

Refrain:

Is the music of the wind, every message that we send,

Becomes nothing but the music of the wind,

All our love has grown in the end,

Nothing but the music of the wind.

Wonderful poetry. I could just about hear the music of the lilting wind.

Thanks, threekeys. The natural music that we are so fortunate to hear by our winds is always so entertaining. Here where we live it is a constant companion and we never know what we may hear or see next. Thank you for your nice review, my friend. whonu

I can think of nothing that I like to hear more than the sounds the wind makes. Here where we live it is a constant companion. Blessings my friend. whonu

"Music of the wind...everyone trying to get their message out"...I guess that is why we write and write for others.

I love the sound of the wind through pine trees...this is nature singing to me. When I was 5 years of age, my school friend and I would literally run off the ground and leap, pretending we were the wind and flying high in the skies. We had a lot of strong gusty warm winds blowing in this town.

"When we sing, we each may send, special music of the wind." I especially like that line. To think that everyone can contribute to the music on the wind for the listening pleasure of one's self or someone else.
