Look, I brought you flowers mommy.

Like you, their beauty unsurpassed

I brought you one for every day I missed you.

Wishing that was me the one that had has passed.

White flowers, to perfume this empty space.

I want you to take my flowers and smile.

I need for you to be happy and see

how much I want for you to say

" Baby it's Ok."

Only once, even now, just once

where words are not needed

where no fault intended

just to say that we are one.

White roses for mommy dearest

a prayer and a tear will be enough

the past and future put to rest

with only the notion of your love.

In this place of silence, I want to know

That once you loved me in spite of it all.

As I bring you flowers, here and now

I swear that I love you,in spite of me, after all.

this poem touched my heart... i was thinking of my mom as I was reading. She's still with us and I hope she'll live a longer life. Reading this reminded me to express my appreciation and love to her. Thank you for writing this.

What sadness! Beautiful expression. Other than a few distracting typos a great poem. Thanks for sharing!

Just beautiful and I relate. Your words -

"I need for you to be happy and see

how much I want for you to say

      " Baby I am Ok."

to know this, just to know, makes all the difference.

Lovely writing, my votes to you, ananceleste.
