Who Thought Doing Nothing Could Be So Great

Updated on August 21, 2016

Maybe Not Long Term

My wife watching t.v.

Me listening but not really paying attention

Reading a little

Eating a little

Not really wanting or needing anything

I practice breathing as if was something new

Leaning back in a wooden kitchen chair

Not knowing what is holding my head up

As I smell the wonderful fresh air

Last day of my vacation

I don't really want to go anywhere

Busy all week

Now time to snooze at home

Can you believe it

At one o'clock in the afternoon

The weather is beautiful outside

I love being home and hearing the cars on my street

At all different times

Quitely whistling by

Not a loud noise

Different humming sounds

Some made by trucks

Other noises and slight car rattles

A plane humming overhead

The birds chirping louder and louder

As the wind chimes ding

Swinging back and forth

Making the day even more relaxing

Now I hear the crickets do their thing

Somebody lit some fireworks in a distance

A quick pop

Followed by three more boom, boom, bangs

This is the day

I just melt away

Like butter left out in the warm sun

Ah, this was delightful and I felt like drifting as I was reading this. On these final August days we have been blessed with warm, sunny weather and I will tell you when I go out in the garden and sit down I don't want to ever get up and move again the sun, the breeze and everything all about just feels so very good.

Vocal coach There is so much power and love in your words. To be so gifted and to spread your special gift to other people all over the world. Being able to share the amazing sound of the piano and to do it so well that you can make a career out of it is wonderful. Hours of practice and dedication made it all possible. You found how to turn your feelings of love into a love that keeps giving for all those who listen. Thank you for sharing and explaining. If your love for playing the piano never made you enough money and you had two work two jobs would you love the piano the same way ? Would you continue to play? Would it turn into a fun hobby you only play on weekends and rainy days? Have a good night

I find supreme joy, peace and a feeling of one with the universe when I can touch those ivory keys on the piano knowing that my music touches others. I am one with the piano. Want to discover the true Audrey Hunt? Listen to her piano stylings and interpretation. I had a best friend as a child...always there...when my family could not fulfill my need for the desperate love I so needed...the piano always did. Yes, performing at the piano is my happiest time. How blessed I am to have lived my whole life as a pianist!

Vocal coach Our lives are constantly touched by nature even though many things are modern and high tech. Natural beauty of beautiful flowers, rising sun, crisp morning air, even those nasty bugs we don't like flying away is o.k. As long as they don't do me no harm it is part of life. They are here for a reason. Even if to keep balance in nature maybe lunch for something else. I know I feel my happiest enjoying the world that was created long before I was an inkling in my mother's eye. I try to combine the best of both worlds. Thank you for all your support and comments. What makes you the happiest ? Have a wonderful day.

I totally relate to this one. LOL. I remember you saying you had a vacation too. It rained for the majority of the week I had off, but I didn't complain because I enjoyed the down time. Haha. Now the kids are headed back to school and I will be back to work. Well, I has to work Friday so I guess my vacation was technically already over, although I have weekends off now so it felt like an extension. Anyway, back to busy. I have a dress fitting this week for alterations to a bridesmaid gown. Who knew these things cost a small fortune? But I suppose a best friend is worth it!
