Who/What am I?

Updated on April 16, 2016

Winter-snow-wind-cold

What am I?

I am what makes the steam escape with each breath.

I am what causes the wind to bite.

I am what keeps the white on the ground.

I am what freezes moving water.

Who am I?

I am the decorative design on your window.

I am the bite in the wind that sneaks through everything.

I am the sparkly white blanket on the ground.

I am the solid water on the wild duck pond.

Spring-the rains-the warming sun-new buds-the birds come back

What am I?

I am what makes the dirt squishy and sticky.

I am what causes the clouds to drip with drops of blue.

I am what brings the seed to life and the buds to open.

I am what brings green and softness to the grass.

Who am I?

I am squishy sticky dirt that slips into your shoes.

I am the drops that gather in a puddle for you to splash.

I am the awakening of life from their long sleep.

I am the green blanket that begins to cover the ground.

Summer-warm-swimming-feeding the ducks-flowers in bloom-trees are green again

What am I?

I am what warms the buds to open with new green colors.

I am what brings heat to the sand on the beach and warmth to the water.

I am what calls the birds to sing on the fragrant branches of trees.

I am what brings out the bees to visit the flowers for nectar.

Who am I?

I am the leaves that fill the trees with a dark green veil.

I am the hot sand on the beach that warms the toes and provides hours of fun.

I am the long sunny days that make you sleepy and lazy.

I am the buzz of the bees that race to refill their empty hives.

Fall-the trees dress in wonderful colors-the days are crisp-harvest time

What am I?

I am the cooling and lessening of the sunny days.

I am the orange, red, and yellow that decorates the leaves of trees.

I am the sleepiness of the trees, flowers and bears.

I am the reason the cooler wind blows browned leaves about your feet.

Who am I?

I am the cooler days that see less sun.

I am the colorful trees whose leaves will soon fall to the ground.

I am the slowing of growth and the sleepiness of the plants.

I am the cool touch in the wind that brings goose bumps to your skin.

Who am I? What am I?

I am the seasons, that dance a dance of change through-out the years. As if you didn't already know....... Some places do not have seasons like we have in the northern states, so I hope you weren't too baffled by my little play on words. Maybe some day you will get the chance to come to New England to see a cold winter day or a crisp, brightly colored fall day.

I have enjoyed this very much. I like how you've described each season with a good level of 'mystery' behind. Voted up and beautiful :-)
