Whom to believe?

Updated on June 2, 2012

A fake smile???

Who is correct and whom should I follow?

Mostly all the people, all across this world are faced with this question, situation might not be same, but the question is always same whom should I believe and whom should I follow?? should I go along with the mind who works on what we have seen and heard or should we follow heart who works on shear faith and hope?? So now I ask to you my friends whom will you follow, when you are faced with such situation??

I see with my eyes
Truths that hide
Behind a shade of pretty smile
Or a laugh covering the rainy sky

A false promise
Self compromise
Hiding behind a happy mask
A sorrowful sight

My mind takes lead
Asking to give no heed
For life is about ups and down
Smiling even in worst of feel

My heart cries
Seeing all deceiving minds
Why should you hide?
Creating this ugly smile

Mind takes scriptures
And as it reads
One shall be strong
Overcoming difficulties

Heart in a sad voice
Says let them cry
A fake smile,
Worse than a million lies

Mind acts as a king
Tells to stop whining
For to live a happy life
You might sometime need a fake smile

Heart turns against
Becomes brave
Let them fully cry
Then will their smile shine

In all my good bad days
I have not yet been saved
From this endless debate
Whom to believe?? now I state

actually one must find what heart is. Some have an old heart, other new. The same time new heart means new spirit (human spirit). My guide is Word of God. It is Sword of the Spirit dividing between soul and intention of the heart.

Man is: Spirit, lives in the body and possess the soul.

Very profound poem! Years ago, when I was struggling with a decision regarding my job, I woke up hearing a thought: "Follow your heart. If your mind and heart agrees you will find happiness". I had no clue what that meant at the time, but years later I realized the importance of mind and heart agreeing. I follow my heart nowadays by the way. :)

      Vote up and beautiful!

P.S. I just noticed you live in Lucknow. One of my favorite gurus, Papaji lived there.

Amen to that, always following the path of truth and Godliness is what we should choose but we should never forget the human we are, we can walk on the footsteps of GOD. spirit and soul we are some times asked to follow any one of them remember its Holy spirit that guides both spirit and our soul but when the internal quarrel takes place that is when GOD's gift of freewill comes into play and then we based on our wisdom and believes choose what we feel is correct.

      Endless sea,halo again:

You are perfectly correct . We , the human beings are given the greatest gift, called " free will."

The Creator and the Sustainer of all Universe made it available to each of us to KNOW and to CHOOSE.

Also correctly you've stated"but sometimes in human nature" we are bound between the two, (heart and mind.)

Basically, heart represents our emotions, while mind represents intelligence. As we are following each of these basic descriptions of the pages of the English--English dictionary we will see over two dozen additional synonyms of each. Each of these includes " soul and spirit". Thus exercising free will originates within our innermost being based upon informations, wisdom ( knowledge) we have stored in our memory.

By now we know of two basic ingrediencess concerning life and eternity....

We are choosing ( freely) between good-bad; good-evil; right- wrong; truth- deception ; godliness-- godlessness, etc. [ More info. available.]

Long- ago my choice started in godliness, wisdom and life, following the Giver of the life-- eternal and " even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for the (He) is with me..." (Psalm 23:4)

Martus Thank you for those verse but sometimes in human nature you are bound between the two (heart and mind)in making a decision, after all we were given free will for some reason

      endless sea,

An answer to a hearts cry

Is at reach. Just hear its voice:

      Might fully satisfy

      By making right choice.

" Come to me weary, burdened,"-- says

" And I will give you rest."

"Learn from me-- gentle in heart --

      Humble too, I am." --Plus

" You'll find for soul", the best.

      My faith-- Him believing

      Grew to the knowing :

      He loves me--all of us.

      Every need supplied...

In Him not a thing lacking.

The Word-- still a clear guide

      In this life--and everlasting .

      (Matt. 11:28-30)

I like it. Yes, fallow the heart. The fruit of the spirit (heart) of others cannot be imitated by enemy. That's what I fallow.
