Why Blame Death?

Updated on October 27, 2010

A man comes to your door

vested in black

asks you to walk with him

but it feels like command

you leave behind all

your not coming back.

Asked to answer for what you have done

often it wasn't enough

more battles lost then won

or not fought at all

because you were too busy.

You find yourself taken to a place

where the others are as bewildered

for the gloom of that place,

Perhaps you were good

but what did you know

that good wasn't enough

Oh! What a blow

The Man commanded perfection

Impossible! you cried

He demanded consecration

to be at His side

'but my life was too precious'

you realize with a start

'My ideals didn't allow

for the sacrifice of all'

then realizing to consecrate was to obtain perfection

not being perfect at all

you turn in the dark

understanding your wallow

is where you are most comfortable you see.

A hard pill to swallow.

You will then realize your place

isn't that bad

it is peaceful and beautiful

a paradise to be had

Only the reflection

makes it look dim.

A yearning unrequitable

to be with Him.

You could go to Him

with unquenchable guilt

burning inside and live there

for as long as you dared in that place

no one would shoe you out

everyone treating you with Grace

You would hurt all the more

for the kindness of all

for the dirt

on your soul would show

all the while

You would know that they know

see what they see

t'would be hell to you

but it is yours to choose.

When that day comes

if life isn't what you wish

Don't turn to the man in black

and spit in his eye

spit on your own

fly wherever you fly

and be stayed.

I must express some acerppiation to you just for bailing me out of this particular setting. Right after exploring through the world wide web and finding methods which were not productive, I figured my entire life was well over. Existing minus the answers to the difficulties you've sorted out as a result of this article is a crucial case, as well as ones which could have negatively affected my entire career if I had not come across your web blog. Your own personal natural talent and kindness in dealing with all areas was priceless. I don't know what I would have done if I had not discovered such a solution like this. I can also at this moment look forward to my future. Thank you very much for the specialized and amazing guide. I will not be reluctant to suggest the blog to anybody who will need assistance on this area.

I love the poem very much. It speaks volumes to my spirit. A religious life is not as difficult as one might think nor is making one's way to heaven, as a matter of fact it is so simple it make me laugh to see others make it so complicated for themselves.

lol Guilt often has nothing to do with Sin. What could have been done with time when it wasn't will cause guilt enough for some in the end.

We are all sinners sayeth the bible. But "God's" mercy cleanses all past errors. When we pass through the gates of heaven our sins have been forgiven. No need for guilt feelings. We leave that to the living.
