What's the Point of Crying Over Spilled Milk?: a Poem

Updated on July 30, 2017

Val is a life-long student of the psycho-philosophy of living and a devoted practitioner of many techniques that enhance personal evolution.

Since many of us were made by a mistake

a mistake we are, and living under that sign

just from one to another getting a break

with all your mistakes looking bigger than mine.

Then we curse ourselves, but mostly our fate

for things going wrong and our making it so

even when it's gone not feeling too great

thinking of ourselves as of a clumsy pro.

Proverbial milk gets spilled over our pride

and then we promptly cry over the spill

time and time again we foolishly decide

not to ever repeat it in that well known drill.

Gallons of milk same by looks and curses

giving us new chances to whine and wallow

but flow of that milk just never reverses

making us regretful and a little shallow.

For. what's the use of moaning over a mistake

aren't we just rehearsing for another one

so let's accept ourselves for our sanity sake

our imperfections and everything done.

There would be less mental problems in the world if people would allow everyone to be perfect- in their imperfections.

So very true. To take blame, curse self and always be guilty is worst way of living.

      Nice poetry Vladimir.
