Why Do We Fear The End ?

Updated on May 18, 2014

We Could Of Done So Much More

The closing, finishing or otherwise a stop to what we know

Our time is up

No more going back to correct our mistakes or errors

No more second chances

What happens next is all new and unexpected

We begin all over again

A fresh start

Let go all the things we have never finished

They were never meant to be done

Just a start to open our minds up to a different plane

One that we still can't explain

A practice run so to speak

A trial run that breaks us in

Don't get hung up on the minor things

It's not the nail on the wall that means the most

Look at the picture that hangs for all to see

It's not the old wooden frame that is worn at the edges

The artist who picks the greatest choice of colors to catch your eye

It's not the cracked glass that holds the picture in place

The vision that one day someone will see

A reflection of who we are and who we can be

Life can be an on going struggle

Where we lose everything we have gained

Only to free ourselves

So we can move on and find

The real treasure in our life is our mind

nighthag For years my family and closest friends gave me no support on any of my thoughts. So I made a choice to keep writing for myself and keep my own journals and thoughts. That in time they were right and I could prove myself wrong. Years later I seen many family and friends that I trusted and believed in do things they were not proud of and have many regrets. I keep trying and find many obstacles in my way. When I see your nice kind thoughts and support it is a feeling that is hard to describe. A warm thank you and to let you know I will always appreciate you finding me. I hope we may continue many such discussions for years to come. Have a great day.

Nighthag If we can take that energy and use it more productively. Building something out of wood. Playing an instrument.Planting a plant and watching it grow. Each one of these activities can bring a positive result. The more things you do that you are proud of the more self esteem and confidence to try other things. Worrying will only complicate the issue and if it never happens we have used up all this time for nothing. Even if it doesn't work the way we have planned. Tomorrow is another day. Laugh it off and I would love to trade stories how many things I have done wrong and keep trying no matter what. Thank you for reading and taking your time to share. It gives me confidence to keep writing and try to change my corner of the world a little at a time.

Fear is the great immobiliser, I battle it every day in one form or another but fear of failing to reach my dreams is my most common struggle

Thank you for this, it spoke to me ...

DDE At the end of one day we look at what we have to show for our efforts. Sometimes we have many setbacks and it isn't easy to see progress and the results we had expected. So we start again trying to make everything work with all our God given talents to make sense of our lives and help the ones we love. Fear of tomorrow never helps. It is human nature to wonder what if. There are sad times in our lives where nothing seems to go right. Depression can take hold and make us think the worst. Thank you so much for your comment. As always I have to change my mind before I can change the physical. Have a beautiful day.

The end often is not known and is a surprise so one will fear what lies ahead.
