Why I Write Articles and How You Can Get Started to Honestly Make Money Online
Wanting To Learn How To Make Money Online is What Led Me Here to HubPages
About two years ago I became very interested in how to make money online and was fascinated by the fact that just by using a computer and people clicking on things I could make money. I decided that I was going to teach myself how to do this and I wasn't going to stop until I figured it out. I can be very determined when I want to learn something...
So I started my research on the computer by typing in my browser such things as "how to make money online" and what I found was A LOT of people trying to get me to pay for things that would help me to make money but that really didn't work, in one word - SCAMS. Let me tell you, I could write a book about all the people out there trying to make a buck on other people's wanting to learn how it all works. Truth be told it really is unbelievable how many scams there are. In one statement, if it looks glitzy and salesy, and sounds too good to be true, then it is.
Take it from me, I am not into scams or scamming people out of their money and I had moments where I almost gave up. I just wanted to find an honest way to make money online and the people that you find on the computer searches by typing "how to make money online" are not that honest. But - and this is a big BUT - the honest and good people are out there although they are few and far between.
How Much Do I Make Through Writing Online and Who Should I Trust to Teach Me??
You might be wondering just how much I make through my writing. Well, in all honesty, it's not that much at the moment. But the potential to grow that money by writing is still always there, the more I write and publish, the more I make. Right now, I have 19 featured lenses on Squidoo and I make close to $50.00 per month from them. Not much, but it does work out to $600.00 per year. If I had more time, I would write more and therefore, would make more I'm sure.
In other words, my HubPage titlled Hand-Painting Flowers on Rocks has links to other sites about painting flowers which are generated by Google, and the links therefore are associated to what the Hub is about so people are more likely to click on those links, and I, therefore, make a little money from those clicks - pretty simple.
BUT if you don't know how it works, you're like, "What? Someone clicks something and I make money??? How can that be if I don't own my own website and pay a monthly fee?" and therefore, you become somewhat skeptical about the whole process of making money online like I did.
But, there are some good guys out there. Well, on second thought, only one that comes to mind. His name is Chris Farrell, and he really is one of the good guys. Granted, he makes a six figure income from teaching people how to exactly make money online, but, he does so by offering an enormous amount of information which is laid out for you in simple English and in such a way that if you join his site, you will definitely learn a lot about this business.
Even if you don't join (I never did) you can learn A LOT from his free webinars which are offered on the left hand side control panel of his site (ChrisFarrellMembership.com) under just that name, Free Webinars.
Sure I make a little money if you click on something in the sidebar of one of my articles, lenses, or hubs that interests you. These ads and links are placed there by Google and are well-associated with the content of the article or page I have written that you're already reading so chances are, you might "click through" and read more on the subject and that's how I make money. I would also make a little bit more if you purchased something that I suggest on my article pages through an Amazon or Ebay link shown on my page.
So that's how you make money on Squidoo and HubPages or Ezine Articles. It really is fun and easy, and anyone can learn. It does take time and effort, but if you write about things that interest you in your spare time, it can be rewarding as well! Take your time and have fun with it.
You may not make a living, but the money you can earn on the side is a nice bonus at the end of every month, and who knows, you just might be really good at it!
Writing Articles and Sharing Information is an Honest Way to Make Money Online
I started writing articles about two years ago, primarily because I wanted to learn how to makemoney on line. My search led me here to HubPages and also to another site called Squidoo.
I like both of these sites because they are free, plain and simple. You don't have to have your own website to make money or share information. On HubPages you can set up your own Google Adsense account and make 100% of the profits when people click on those links, which are automatically generated by Google - based on the content of your HubPage.
On Squidoo it's a little different because that site is considered a revenue sharing site. They pool the revenue you earn from writing your lenses (which is what Squidoo calls a focused webpage), and then give you a percentage of the earnings which they pay monthly into your PayPal account (which is also free to set up at PayPal.com)
Not only have I found that writing articles (Ezine Articles), hubs (HubPages), and lenses (Squidoo) is fun and rewarding financially, but I have found a voice in these communities that gives me a chance to express myself on subjects that mean a lot to me. It gives me a chance to get up on my soapbox, so to speak, and voice my opinions to people that may just actually want to listen to what I have to say, lol!
Sometimes when we feel passionately about something, we want to have someone listen, and those people that we know and love, our family and friends, may not necessarily have the same opionions or interests that we do and only listen to us vent to be, well, polite.
That's why writing articles may be a good avenue for you to explore to express yourself and your views to people that may be struggling with the same problem or perhaps, someone who just shares the love of the same activity that you do and is looking for information and new ideas on the subject.
I think it's a commonality we all share that we want to be listened to and understood and that's why I think writing articles is a healthy and rewarding way to share our experiences and information with others who are in search of answers and understanding themselves.
Give it a try, you just might like it! :)
