Why Do We Love Superheroes?
Comic books were once viewed by society as something twelve year old boys would read over a can of soda-pop and a bag of cheetos, or a hobby for the overweight thirty something pocked faced fan-boys that still live in their mother's basements. But comic book characters and the superheroes and villains that fill their inked pages have jumped out of those kids backpacks and nerd's basements and into the mainstream of society. So what is it that makes movies about these comic book superheroes out preform other box office blockbusters from the past? What has it that has so attracted our minds to this phenomena known as the superhero? It is a longing...
