Why should I grow up?

Why should I grow up, Daddy?

Growth is a natural process in human life. Just an imagination on why a child of this century hesitates to accept this natural process. Now on to the child’s mind:

When I grow, my hands grow,

But the art of giving doesn’t!

When I grow, my smile grows

But the innocence in my smile fades away!

When I grow, my thoughts grow,

But not all the thoughts are good!

When everything good in me goes away when I grow, why should I grow?

Father thinks I should grow up as an Engineer

Mother says I should practice Medicine

Granny suggests that I should become a Professor

but they don’t consider my decision.

When they live my life why should I grow up?

Granny says early marriage

Parents say arranged marriage

I say love marriage

But after living together for five months the bride says no marriage!!

When there is so much diversifying (it should actually be divorce-ifying) facts when you think of marriage, why should I grow up?

Parents are busy making money.

Granny can’t run behind me and so she has been sent to senior care!

Nanny appointed for me is busy making calls in her phone

I’m forced to be busy with my toys

When they don’t have time for me now,

How will they have time for me when I grow up?

So,why should I grow up?

Most of my income goes for taxes and loans.

When my income grows my expenses grow as well!

So, I stay in the same level of inadequacy every time!

When everything in this life is inadequate, and yearns for more every time,

why should I grow up?

I’m happy now and enjoying my life

The older I get the harder it becomes.

Then, why should I grow up?

Oh God, is there a way to press the pause button for me in your remote?

I know it’s not possible. When I have started my life, I have to play it till the end.

Let me accept it and start growing up!

Let me grow up to tell the world that it’s not the innocence that I had lost, but the ignorance!

Let me grow up to tell my world that they have groomed a good citizen rather than a good professional!

Let me grow up to make the world realize that marriages are made in heaven!

Let me grow up to make my parents understand that I’m there for them always!

Let me grow up to make others realize that there is much more than money in this life!

Let me grow up with the hope that I’m the creator of my life and will make life beautiful!

Let me grow up!

We don’t forget to feed hope and positive attitude to our children but we forget to portray a beautiful life before them which pulls down their hope about life. Let us make our life simple and beautiful and the same will continue for generations. Just wanted to finish it with the thought read somewhere:

“In my next life want to live my life backwards.

You start out dead and get that out of the way.

Then you wake up in the old people’s home feeling better every day.

You get kicked out of being healthy, go collect your pension and then when you start work you get a gold watch and a party on your first day.

You work for 40 years until you are young enough to enjoy your retirement.

You party, drink alcohol and then you are ready for high school.

You got to primary school, you become a kid and you play.

You have no responsibilities; you become a baby until you are born!!”

Forward or backward – Life is beautiful! Enjoy it!

yes, nobody wants to grow up and wishes to remain a child forever, but it is beyond control as time pulls everyone up.
