Why

I will not be biased but will rather tell the truth as i see it. It doesn't mean that it is the problem of one side but believe it, the cause has been from one side. There have been quite a good number of religious, ethnic clashes in Nigeria. Nigeria as you must know comprise of over 250 ethnic groups and Islam and Christianity are the two major religions practiced in Nigeria.

There have always been clashes between these groups and if i have to be fair and honest, the whole clashes are caused by one group.The Muslims. And their atrocities always lead to vengeance.The northern part of Nigeria is the home land of the Muslims while the East, South and part of west is the Christian dominance area.

These tension and clashes has to do with the Igbos and the Hausas in particular. I will not blame the Government for these clashes but they have not done much to help because the same government has been marginalizing the Igbos and has systematically tried to wipe away the Igbo tribe. The Biafra/Nigeria war is not a new story.

That was a sectional war and ever since the independence of Nigeria, the Igbo tribe has been victimized as far as Nigeria is concerned.Nigeria is not an Islamic nation so why will a population of over 150million be hard to control when places like Indonesia, Malaysia, India ect despite their population does control themselves.

IS IT SAFE TO BE AN IGBO MAN AND LIVE IN NORTHER NIGERIA?

History has made it known that it is unsafe, we have been oppressed from 1960 and it has been so up til today and the recent attack on Christians in Platue State is an evidence that it is not safe to be an Igbo man among them. I did not say Christian because the attack is sectional, it is not just religion anymore but a tribal attack.

Disintegration.

Our people has always cried for disintegration but is an Igbo man safe with an Igbo man?

This is the major problem because Igbos are disunited and why do i say this? I am an Igbo man though i did not witness the civil war but i heard of it and i have read a lot about it. Once upon a time, there was a movement for the restoration of Biafra which is the Igbo nation and the cause of the civil war.Most Igbos never gave MASSOB a breathing space, to them, it is a waste of time yet you hear them shout about the atrocities committed against the Igbos by the Hausa/ Fulanis.

I mean no offense because i have a good number of friends among the Hausas but like i said from the start, i intend to speak the truth and will do so.

Listen to me with open mind because i am heartbroken.Just like then to Pharaoh;

Nigeria let my people go.

Since the independence

You have forsaken us

Why

We are not powerless

We are not stupid

Why

Is it that anywhere you see us

You try to kill us all and go free

Why

In 1967 you invaded us

Why

Do you think that we are powerless

Why did you have to break into the house

And stab a one month old baby

Why

The innocent woman sleeping

Whom you shot to death

The innocent young girl on her way to school

Whom you descended upon and raped then killed

Why

Is it a sin that we traveled this far to be with you

What did we do

Where did we go wrong

What is the problem

Why

You said you wanted sharia law

We said practice it in your quarter

You said Bokko Haram

We raised our flag

Why

You came after only our sons

You termed MASSOB evil

You killed our brothers in Jos

Why

There is no sunshine In Nigeria any more

There is no longer moonlight in the corner

Let us all stand as one and say no to this

It is the people's revolution for freedom

Why

I have to defend my land and brothers

I have to fight this cause with my blood

And no matter what happens at last

There will be an answer to WHY

I have been so much oppressed

All we need is freedom

Nigeria let my people go

Let us go down to our land

And build our markets

Do our Business down home

Let us disintegrate ourselves

This is becoming unbearable

We want no revenge

All we want is freedom

Let us march out of Nigeria

It will be a peaceful revolution

Let us all stand as one

And simply ask WHY?
