Wild Geese Fly As A Team..... Shouldn't We?

Updated on January 13, 2013

In Formation

Wild Geese

Wild Geese fly

Fly so high

Always in formation

With great determination

They work for each other

Taking the lead

In turns

Slowly swapping over

Helping, helping each other

This is what we should do

Humans like no other

Why do we not learn

Like Geese on the wing

If we did

Where would we be now.

They help the weaker ones

Not walk all over them

And trample on them

Killing their spirit

Spirit is within us

Why not nurture it for the good

For the better good of our fellow men

Let us make a promise here and now

To be like Geese on the wing

Flying in formation

Let us fly higher than before

To reach the goals we aspire to

It is the only way

You know I am not wrong

It all takes time to serve our fellow man

Geese do it

That's good enough for me.

I look forward to seeing you in the sky

One thing I've noticed about a flock of geese. When they land and feed, the leaders the males always stand guard as the rest of the flock eats. Then once the flock is full and resting the males take turns feeding. There is always two standing guard all the time.

Great way of putting things! It would be great if people could do that. I'm always willing to pitch in there and help others unfortunately a lot of people just want to be left alone. Love those pictures. Every fall I watch their formations flying over my house.

Love it..great Hub and great timing...I truly believe the world is begining to wake up and take back what has been rightfully theirs from the few that have robbed them for so much does a person really need to meet their needs..not much which leaves plenty for thier neighbours....great poem!!!!
