Will We Make It Through?

Updated on July 14, 2011

Outside looking in

Where do I begin?

Pretty picture painted

Even though it’s tainted

With secrets held and past regret

Wondering how to just forget

Promises made and none of them kept

Should have looked before I leapt

I loved you then and love you still

Our dreams I want to fulfill

But something has to give

In this life we live

Uphill battle never ceases

Crying never truly releases

The tension built on my dismay

Of how things ended up this way

Letting go but holding on

Praying for a brand new dawn

Waiting for these days to pass

An escape from this impasse

Will we make it through?

Nicely flowing piece. What I've taken from it is that you are never satisfied with the outcome of your regrets. Correct me if I'm wrong.

      Voted up and interesting.
