A Cardinal in the Snow

Updated on March 5, 2011

A cardinal in the snow
is the warmest sight of all
perched by the frozen berries
that grow outside the hall.

Warm here beside the fire
With frost upon the glass
I see the frozen world outside
Warmed by a crimson flash.

Thank you! A friend sent me a poem and challenged me to write one too. That's a good kind on friend! I found the photo through a google image search, it is beautiful.
