PAINTING WITH WORDS POETRY: Wisdom Pearls.

Updated on August 29, 2012

He grew up hurt and mostly disenchanted

Yet he found a self healing way to mend his world

With his once broken heart he took his chances

And found love as beautiful and precious as pearls.

As life moved the pearls became chipped and broken

And once again he found his world split in two

He buried his pain deep and left them unspoken

Though friends he had, he gave his heart to few.

God saw his pain and sent Angels in great disguise

Teaching him to let go and look deep with his soul

Seeking truth of himself and forgiving all the lies

Learning to loves one’s self to become whole.

He takes another look around, as the healing begins,

And finds the old pearls still hold their sweetness

With the preciousness and beauty living deep within.

And knowing now that-great love-takes patience.

Poem from the collection of "PAINTING WITH WORDS POETRY.
