With Towers and Fairy-tales

Updated on May 31, 2013

A reckoning I'm sure is about to ensue

So confident and cocky to walk along that line

So whiny and immature

to still stand asking the same questions

Why me? Why so blue?

A skrier and a princess

walking a very thin line

A line - a walk more like a dance

A dance of black-guarding

it begins.

Her toes barely touch the filth

the lines colored in the coal of deceit

the Lord doth deceive me -

the Lord doth deceive me -

he'd have her chant instead

believe instead-

Her mind is like a fort

A fort protected from the filth

of you and me

A fort against the lie

You'd have her believe -

How could you?

be so calm - so still

As storms brewed inside of her

storms your mind blowing bombs

against her fort -

A soul tie

You bound upon her finger

Spells you blew

Icy with the hues of you

Strings you drew

as she fell into you

Aghast at all she never knew -

Boobie-traps her only clue.

Haunted by your demons

day after gruesome day - a war pasting 5 days

demons whispered in her ear

baited by their taunts

their interest

their visions of her and you -

Always yours

there is this war

this deceit of you and her

A vision from the Gods

A sun baths aftermath; a leader with

rainbows breath

the golden pot - not that far away from you -

A vision unfolds

Eyes closed - she breaths breaths of you

Gods word on the tip of her tongue

Gloss on cherried lips

she sends her angels after you -

Do you trap them too?

Trap them in beauty of their inner thought?

of their minds eye?

Bathe instead?

Bathe in their promised glory?

She begs - she builds

A fort she beheld - sparkly, shiny - with towers and fairy-tales

As Gods words unfold the visions

Explains the way of fear

of tears

of the bombs of yesteryear -

Her fort holds -

like kitten claws she swipes-

the vision dissipates

Safely tucked in

dreamlessly - seamlessly she sleeps

later she thinks

later I'll visit this tie

these strings left

between the me and you

that is me and you.

Wow, Frankie... what a delight. You ravish words with attention and immerse your readers in rich images and nuances with your beautiful imagination. I love how you can create seemingly alternative worlds, that might be drawn from Fantasy and yet be so in the "now" as well. You twirl words together like a master writer, dreaming the dreams.

Yes, Epi recommended your hubs. This was so interesting to read. What a poet you are and what a first poem of yours to read. So full of anxious anxiety, moving quickly along. Your words are of fire, burning. I love the images that accompany this poem. Well written!
