Wonder Grew (poem)

Updated on December 24, 2013

Teach me to fly on pathways of my dreams

Make me enjoy the marvels brought to sight

Lead me on ways new questions will ignite

Take me to halls were founts of knowledge streams

And on he went to air soul’s appetite

About him wondrous energy now teams

Tomorrow’s hopes and promise from him beams

Here is a door for other’s hearts delight

So on they went the moments and the years

And all that ever asked of him was try

As wonder grew to take the place of child

Who knows the meaning of his youthful tears

Teach me the proper way to say goodbye

And as he left his teacher sat and smiled

We must all grow up to find our place in the world. Many times it is a teacher that taught us the way.

What a wonderful tribute to those to taught us through those many years. I still remember the encouragement given. Teachers give us

wings to fly. It is up to us to takes the time to learn the skill of flying.

      Great job, Martin.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
