Words Without A Sound (poem)

Updated on January 22, 2017

I still recall the stillness of the day

The quietness which came from all around

The echoes of her footstep on the ground

And what was left no words could take away

-

So dark that even darkness was profound

This bleakness which surrounded my dismay

I sensed the heartbeats that had gone astray

And what was left were words without a sound

-

How sad to see the sadness of a friend

Another tear which wonders why you cry

-

Such hopelessness of couples who pretend

That silence ever was a reason why

-

And so our golden dream comes to an end

And what was left were sounds of our goodbye

Those remain the most memorable moments; we all cherish them.
