Work Through The Blues

Updated on January 19, 2015

Your Not Feeling Great

A touch of a cold

Sneezing and coughing

Things aren't going well

Your family is not getting along

Each person mad at the other

A recent break up

A good friend let you down

A few bangs, bruises, burns and cuts in work

What could possibly happen next ?

I know

You can feel better

Put all this behind you and time to change tracks

The route you were going wasn't ending up in at a good destination

We have to evaluate our life

When things aren't working in our favor

Time to make things better

I know what your thinking

You don't know what I have been through

Your right but you also don't know what I have been through

All this really doesn't make your life any better

It is time to find new happiness inside

Then before you know it

You will start to wake up from this bad dream

Some would even say the worst nightmare

Your stomach is doing flip flops

You feel like you are have to throw and go

Taxes went up

It is raining

Your favorite team lost

Can anything

Anything at all go right

Not getting along with your boss in work

A lovers quarrel

Sprain an ankle

Have the start of a stye in the eye

Conjunctive itis

You know longer see eye to eye

You need a break

A vacation

Lets start with mental relaxation

I am famous for putting each problem on an index card

Then putting them on a tack board

Throwing darts at them

See how many holes I can put in each one

The object is to destroy each card

So I can't even make out the problem

Totally unreadable

Now I physically found a way to destroy my problems

One by one

I know what you are going to say again

My problem is still there

Nothing has changed

I beg to differ

You have taken a problem in your head

Made it physical and you are starting to deal with

Taking control

Releasing those angry feelings

Turning your energies to a more productive activity

Leaving the helplessness

I know you hoped I would say

Close your eyes and your problem solved

I wish it was that easy

We first have to have a plan

In time we can tackle each problem

Feeling better would be a sixty yard gain

Give it a try

The worst that can happen is that you are slightly feeling better

The best thing that can happen is that your headache is gone

The tears in your eyes have dried

Your not feeling crazy any more

You are not a magnet to bad luck

You can survive this

Better than that

You don't have to make a run for it

Together side by side

We are working on a new solution

I know you jammed your finger

I stubbed my toe

We can keep adding to our tack board

Now it is time

Sore back and all

Computer on the fritz

No matter what the problem

We have to be in a position to act

This isn't a mirage

You lost power

Your car won't start

Your bills our late

These are more things that add to your mess

I just dropped my phone

Could this day get any better

The answer is yes

You got fired from your job

I heard you quit your job

You burned your lip on the last sip of hot coffee

You have no more clothes left

I got into a car accident and I have to get my car fixed

My insurance rates our going up

is there anything else ?

A leaky faucet

Let me have it now

A flat tire

Been there done that

So many things can and do happen

All we can do is work through them

Alone or together

Sometimes we get an easy fix

Other times things work themselves out with know help at all

More often than not

We have to take small steps

Oh geeze, ugh, oh,

I'm so sorry to hear that

We all have hit low points in our life

Now it is time to feel better

One day at a time

Gypsy Rose Lee It's funny how clearing your head of all the things that kept you down suddenly lifts you up and good things start happening. Bad things can happen to good people. But nothing can keep you from feeling better. It starts in your mind and works right through your whole body in record time. Thank you so much for reading so many of my stories. I hope they bring out the best in you. Have a beautiful night.

Now all I need to to strum a guitar and start singing the blues. Actually even the blues have songs that can get you feeling alright again.

Minnetonka Twin Sometimes life is off the wall. I can't explain why or how come. It is nothing I have done. Finding good thoughts and good vibes keeps us looking for a solution. Then one day we wake up and all this is behind us and we have one great laugh. Wow it was some challenge that I had to face. I am so sure other people go through their own personal struggle and find it hard. I want to let you know you are never alone. We all deal with pain and suffering at some point in our lives. I think if we all bond and say take my hand you can do this. We instantly start to feel better and it might take awhile we will recover. Now we can trade stories and post them on that dart board and once and for all put those hard times behind us. Now refocus on the best times of our life. Start enjoying good health and friendships and love that makes us feel terrific. The more good in our life. The more good will come. I have recently had my own sudden setbacks and mishaps. Now recovering and seeing the sun shining gives me comfort. Reading your post makes me feel tremendous. Thank you for helping me move to better days and exciting times. Once again I am feeling good on the inside and out. Life can be tricky. We can think ourselves well. Wishing you a day filled with wonder and joy. New adventures and endless happy stories waiting to be told.

I love that idea of putting problems on index cards and throwing darts at them. Brilliant! I have always loved your down to earth style of writing and your ability to inspire and always see the blessings versus the problems. You have made my evening and put a big smile on my face.

DDE I am so happy to be alive and well. Everything else in life is just a special topping on a wonderful hot fudge sundae. I not only can't wait to eat but share. I read a lot of your hubs and I see the struggles you have gone through. My troubles seem so little to yours. I still have to find ways to overcome and bring myself the courage to do better. Thank you for all your beautiful comments and to a healthy and wonderful day.

billybuc You have found a great way to take that happiness and transform it in words and those words make your hubs sensational. I admire people that show in great detail all the steps that have to be taken. I watch as some follow. Some people turn away and wait for another day. I get so excited about your message I watch, learn and study what people do to accomplish their dreams. I capture the excitement and the energy when they start. In life there may be a few setbacks that make things a little harder than it looks. I pull out a few reminders don't stop now you have come so far. Keep going. Then we all can be together in the end finding our way, sharing our day, living one happy life. annart I think we all come across a series of obstacles that can be similar in many ways. If we only share our struggles as well as our success we would go farther and enjoy more. Let me know how good you did it you try out the dart board. Good Luck shooting. The funny thing is after awhile you get so tired of throwing darts you let your problem go too. Thank you both for reading and sharing your advice and thoughts.Very much appreciated.

Wow, what a list! Yes, we have to take a deep breath and get over it. I like the dartboard idea!

A 'get-up-and-go' poem to pull ourselves together. Great one.

Great message. I learned a long time ago that happiness is an inside job.
