World’s Worst Words (limerick)

Updated on February 26, 2013

The worst words that I’ll ever know

They show just low life can go

Oh I’d rather die

With spikes in my eye

Than hear wife say I told you so

As a wife it is always oh so tempting to say I told you so!

Lol! But there is truth to this wonderful limerick. Hubbies just seem to never want to hear "I told you so." It’s like asking for directions. :-)

"I told you so, " are some of the worst words. If hindsight were only 20-20!

Don't you just hate to hear anyone say, " I told you so. " Funny Martin..

It is true, Martin, "I told you so"

May be a difficult refrain to hear,

But it's so much better than "Nothing!"

When you ask her, "What is wrong, my dear?"

Don't be so sure; 'any words' is better than 'no words' at all.

Then you better make sure you never give her reason to utter those words, Martin!
