Wrath of a Macho Mouse on the Attic: a Poem

Val is a life-long student of the psycho-philosophy of living and a devoted practitioner of many techniques that enhance personal evolution.

Looking down on everyone from his pedestal of might

hairy and quick with those deathly dark eyes

is this macho, angry as if always ready to fight

dressed accordingly in some rugged disguise.

No one dares to climb up to his filthy attic

possibly too sensitive to spiders and dust

or scared of his moods always so erratic

and a regular display of a pissed off distrust.

If anyone would bother to peek under that tough shell

it's hiding someone scared of his overwhelming feelings

a mousy creature seemingly coming straight from hell

not equipped in head for any normal dealings.

Barking and spitting and profane as could be

macho is driving everyone away

scared of commitment, preferring to run free

in a life-long mission to keep his heart at bay.

So, when he looks down on you from his crummy attic

don't feel threatened but pity the dude

for his emotionality is highly problematic

and it just helps him to insist on rude and crude.
