Writing Is My Drug
Writing, in a way is like a drug to me. It helps to relax me after going through a stressful and agony day at work, school. I feel tranquility when I can release myself from what I have been going through into words and expressing the way in how I feel. In a way, it is therapeutic. Writing helps me talk about what I am going through, it does not always have to be about problems or something negative as someone who goes through therapy. Both writing and therapy i.e. psychotherapy are similar in a way in which a person is releasing negative energy and reinforcing positive energy to alleviate whatever he or she is going through. Writing is healthy since it helps to release negative tension and diminishing stress from the mind as well as the body. If the mind is at ease, it can sometimes trickle down to ease the body as well. I encourage more people to take up writing, because it is like a drug, but with all the positive effects. Even if someone does get addicted to writing, he or she is not harming anyone. It is good for someone to express him or herself, there is no limit to how much someone can do it. The more the better. Even if someone is not good at writing, I mean I not that good at it, someone can learn through a lot of practicing and having someone reviewing his or her work. A person will feel good about saying what is on his or her mind, and finding his or her voice that is inside. Writing is my escape drug and keeps me sane from all that is going in the world.
Tell me hubbers, is writing your drug?
