Written In The Sand (poem)

Updated on April 18, 2017

He turned to stars to help him understand

As kisses flowed as ripples mid the sea

These answers that are written in the sand

-

Here in the sweetness of a mystic land

Between what’s real and realms of what might be

He turned to stars to help him understand

-

While dreams of wonder take him by the hand

He wonders is this happening to me

These answers that are written in the sand

-

As reason passes passion takes command

Desire’s abyss left nowhere else to flee

He turned to stars to help him understand

-

The pair they knew was lost as flames were fanned

Who were these strangers and what set them free

These answers that are written in the sand

-

This wasn’t quite the love these two had planned

Would shame now mark the end of destiny

He turned to stars to help him understand

These answers that are written in the sand

This seems to be a continuation of the "cheating" theme. I like it (not the cheating, it's too dangerous) as it brings about doubts cast aside for desire. Good Job, my friend!

Answers written in the sand - like answers blowing in the wind. Great word choice. I like the choice in music, too.

      Voted up and well done.
