Yelling At The Wrong Time

Updated on March 12, 2016

I answered back hastily

No I can't hear the t.v.

My wife was watching the news in the living room

She asked me if I can hear the story

I was in the kitchen writing

It was important story about a young boy

She thought I'd like to watch

She was right I was wrong

I told her I get deep in thought

My wife knows I don't watch the news

So I never would've seen the story

She's thoughtful and kind

ThInks of me all the time

I am a man and I apologize for my actions

I was wrong

I jumped off the handle

Too quick to judge

When all you were doing is trying to help

She excepted my sincere apology

Now we go on with our day

So if you're like me and make mistakes

Sometimes frequently and more often than most

Pay the piper

It wasn't that bad after all

It could've been a little thing turned into a big thing

Now it is almost forgotten

Except for this hub to remind me from time to time

Think before I speak

Act in kindness

There are so many important things in the world to enjoy

Don't let the little things ruin it

Build mountains out of love

Let the rivers of joy flow through

Laughter in the wind

Nature has a way

Showing us how to brighten every day

Gypsy Rose Lee Writing takes on a life of it's own. Sometimes other people give us a new direction we never would of taken. Other times I feel frustrated and confused. Always a pleasure to share my good days and bad with someone else who understands. Thank you for your comment and you'r help. Have a great day.

Sometimes we are just too quick to react. I love the days when I can work peacefully upstairs while hubby works downstairs and no loud words are exchanged.

DDE I agree. If we share our thoughts, dreams and inspirations we can also be understanding and show our support. A give and take. So we both can benifit. Thank you for reading and sharing. grand old lady I appreciate your support and kindness. My life doesn't follow the traditional path. It always keeps me quessing. What just happened and why? What's next? I am happy and proud to share my life in hopes one thing I do may bring a smile to your face. Then I know the time I spent was well worth it. Thank you very much.

You have written a very wise and meaty poem. I love the last paragraph. I also like how you make slices of life teaching moments through poetry and prose.

I Tweeted! Sometimes we get too much in our minds and forget to notice and know when to get a word out.
