You Are My Hiding Place

Updated on July 5, 2014

Hiding Place

You are my hiding place.

When I am scared, I run to you.

I cry and you wipe away the tears.

Be still my soul, know the Lord thy God.

Rest in Him.

Drink His mercies and goodness.

You call me into your presence.

You captivate me with the beauty of Your Word.

You are lover of my soul,

Delight of my life.

To you be all glory, my shelter from life's heartaches.

Giver of Grace

Jesus gives grace for all,

We are forgiven and free.

He is the only giver of grace.

He holds us up under the trials.

He delivers us through the hard places.

He never lets go of us.

He carries us when we are too weak to walk.

Never Far

Where did you go?

I turn and you are gone.

Emptiness of a still wind left instead.

I do not see you among the trees.

I run to find you.

You are hidden from me.

Always chasing.

Never holding.

Elusiveness of air.

Child, pick up my Word.

There you will find me.

I am never far.

Delighting in Jesus

He frees me from the dark.

He saves me from danger.

God delivers me,

Because of His divinity.

He draws me to Himself.

He delights in me.

He paid my debt.

He devours the enemy.

He does not deny my cries for help.

He conquered death.

He designed me in my mother's womb.

Daily, I call on His mighty name.

He is my King. I am His daughter.

He tells me to drink from everlasting water.

His salvation brings dancing to my feet.

Look. Behold. Delight. Everywhere you see the mighty works of Jesus.

MsDora, Thank you so much for reading. God has done and continues to do so much for me. I cannot help but praise Him. Our lives would indeed be futile without the one true God.

All your beautiful lines remind me of God's love, and how futile life would be without Him! Thanks for keeping Him lifted up before us.

Blossom, I didn't realize there was an ad for astrology on my poems. Not really happy about that. One has nothing to do with the other. Thanks for reading and commenting.

Teaches, I am glad you find comfort in my words. He gives us daily what we need. We can run to him for safety and encouragement and anything else we need.

Lovely poems and the images add to their meaning and beauty. Not sure about that add for astrology at the top, though. I have the same above my hub on 'Wave of Prayer Around the World.' Thank you for sharing.

As I read your poems, I feel totally covered and embraced by Jesus. Thank you for always reminding me that Jesus has my back, walks before me and covers my head with his hand. Beautiful poems, spirit filled indeed.
