You Ask How He Can Do It
Updated on February 11, 2013
There is an acceptance that takes place
Of who you are at night
You lie awake and wonder
If your path is right
You must forget what others think
For they are not the light
You can’t live like them
You must remove them from your sight
What you carry within
Is unseen except by the Lord
And if you can feel his light
Then you carry his sword
And if you strike the snake
The gardens fruits will be restored
As you vanquish doubt and temptation
The purity before sin is your reward
There is a living that begins with hope
But at times it is out of sight
You just remain faithful through it all
Even in the darkest night
You can never know how the day will end
And you feel it’s hurtful spite
No matter the end you are still alive
To endure another day’s fight
You ask how he can do it
How is he able to confide?
You can ask any question
For he has nothing to hide
We all leave things unattended
We all have too much pride
But what you must remember
Is the light shines from the inside
