You Don't Know Me Anymore

Updated on October 23, 2012

When you think about me

Does your heart get in the way

Of accepting that time has gone by

And sometimes people change?

If others ask you who I am

Is the picture that you give them

Based on how I've lived my life

And all the things I've done

Or on only who I was

The day I broke your heart?

I don't need to be forgiven

Or to be part of your life

But if there's something

That I know for sure

It's that you don't know me anymore

Great poem that read so easily. I hope you're feeling good.

      Voted up and beautiful, Joyce.

Seasons change, people change or drift apart unfortunately. Sad poem.

Well written, thank you. Things change. The memory you painted was a picture taken in poor lighting

Just beautiful. Sometimes love is that way and we just have to move on.

Another skeleton in the cupboard, or is it just another faded photograph of someone you don't know the name of - or won't tell?
