You Lift My Wings
Dedicated to Wings
By the gentle winds, in a welcoming sky,
You lift my wings, it's then for me to fly.
As breath released, of a benevolent God,
I shall sail on high, to leave this sod.
The essence of this brilliance is shared,
as a ray of hope, our creator so cared.
Where feathered friends, to grace the airs,
We scale the heights, to climb God's stairs.
As we dip and to glide, as in some trance,
The fond rhythms felt, in this freeing dance,
We touch the clouds, in fine celestial sights,
No worries, to confuse, no battles or fights.
We wing beyond all the cares of this world,
To give contentment, as in womb, we curled.
Escape the bonds, that hold us all down,
While in lofty spaces, we hear no sound.
The winds beneath my wings, so inspire,
My progression to increase, by climbing higher.
To reach the mysteries, by the silvery moon,
Greeting the dawning, of the sun's light, soon.
