The Revolution will not be Televised

Updated on June 30, 2014

The revolution will not be televised

You won’t see it with your pair of eyes

Its dimensions are greater than your flat screen size

Getting you fat by selling you pies

Getting you stupid by selling you lies

Drowning in alpha state and failing to rise

Conjuring which you haven’t even realized

Thought process f___ up and subliminalized

Cut off from humanity, you no longer hear the cries

While the common man suffers and tries

Reality TV; just stupidity popularized

Reality TV: fake TV just summarized

TV has no reality

Even worse than Bestiality

Fairy Tale that Disney brings to commonality

Sexualizing the fairy’s tale with perverted-sexuality

Disrupting the children’s cognitive ability

Adults also become kids to the television’s luminosity

Leaving no one to provide stability

The black box has become the household’s main functionality

A far distance from reality

The revolution won’t be televised

You won’t see it on your television

Sitting on your couch, you will never see the vision

For the television has no vision

The TV will lead you to the wrong decision

Because broadcasters have plotted with great precision

You need to step back and do some revision

Do not get stuck in the mode of indecision

Think outside of the box

Never depend on the fox

Instead trample it like an ox

Go ahead and sell your television stocks

They will try magic spells like ABC

Or even NBC

But through the deception we will always see

They cast spells with their wand made from the wood of the “HOLLOW” tree

Can’t you fathom that sorcery is their key

I was nodding and whispering "right on" throughout the entirety of this powerful poem.

Respect Manatita44. Very scary indeed. The problem is that most people can't see it.

Indeed! Part of life's many trials. Let us pray. Loving thoughts.

Very good poem, and what you say is so true. The silent revolution. Voted up.

Great poem, Rasta man....keep it up. So true. I try to keep away from television, and even the computer...and encourage my daughter to read and play outside. She's pretty good about limiting her own use of her Kindle.

Respect Seafarer Mama. In my apartment there is no TV. Those who visit me are forced to socialized with me, lol.

Yes, there's so much to learn from facing each other and getting to know each other....so much to do together. Peace! ~:0)
